It is a massive task in this case, but the only way to start to determine the value of claims is to determine the assets, liabilities and their prioritization. Oh and do that for each of the major entities (e.g. Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc., Lehman Brothers, Inc. LB 745, LLC, etc)
Under/in this post will go information regarding the liabilities and capital structure.
The liabilities from issued debt is the easiest to determine. However, there may be hundreds of billions of dollars of exposure from derivatives contracts for which Holdings was a counterparty. There is currently no visibility on these liabilities which could easily dwarf the other unsecured liabilities.

$613B of liabilities.
